This week’s class was centered around the areas of problem posing, literature review, methodology, and FRAMEWORK, and here are some of my class notes.
For the Animation Theory course probably learned the concepts of abstract and experimental animation, here are some notes I remember.
The course on the dissertation, figuring out the goals of the semester’s assignment, and about this project and proposal I had a preliminary understanding and recorded notes.
I have thought about the following questions for this week’s course:
-After graduation I would like to join a 3D animation studio to become an animator, firstly I am very interested in this part of the animation creation process, I like to study the laws of motion and apply them to the characters, and secondly in China this 3D animator position is less saturated compared to other positions, with more job opportunities. In the meantime I would like to keep exploring concept and character design in my spare time and share it on my social media.
-In order to reach the standard required by the profession I need to understand the 12 principles of animation and apply them to my work, which requires me to observe the movement of all objects in real life and to practice a lot.
-In order to present my final product in video and pictures, I first researched my subject and wrote a thesis as a theoretical guide for my creation. The creative process is documented in a blog and a portfolio is created during the creative process.
-It is very important to link the thesis research with the actual work, because the thesis research provides the theoretical basis for the creation, which is an important guide for the actual work. The research on the background of the creative theme provides a clear position for the creation, and only through in-depth research on the cultural background and artistic aesthetics of the creative theme can we create works with real substance.
-I would like to carry out research in neighborhoods that are not related to practical elements, because practice requires time and cost, but it is unrealistic for me to learn more about the fields I am interested in and practice them one by one. So I will try to take in as much theoretical knowledge as possible and think about whether it can be reflected in my work.
